| Here are some images from the Hindu ceremony which took place at the India Cultural Center. The ceremony is referred to as Vivah or Vivaham, or the more generic "Kalyanam," which I believe includes all auspicious events in one's life. Colorful and charismatic, Hindu weddings are always fun to photograph because one really doesn't know what could happen next. There are, of course, some rituals that are standard and even expected, but it's the banter and/or what is sometimes left unsaid that gives me the greatest pleasure to document. Check it out! |
